careers.vic.gov.au advertises Victorian Public Service roles from VPS1 to VPS7, with executive roles above the scale. The VPS Capability Framework informs the key selection criteria. Personal attributes sit under the framework, and the domains include Meaningful outcomes, Enabling delivery, Authentic relationships and People leadership. Proficiency runs Foundational, Applied, Accomplished and Leading. The position description names the capabilities that matter for that job.

A Ballarat VPS3 or VPS4 role is often casework, processing, education support, justice services or local program delivery. The example should show the client, the rule you applied and the result. A VPS5 or VPS6 role in a regional team is read for a body of work, stakeholders across the region, and advice to a manager. A clinical application follows the health award and the health service's own questions. A VPS key-selection-criteria letter about 'stakeholder engagement' will not read as a ward résumé.

Corporate roles inside Grampians Health can look like public sector applications and still not be VPS. Check the employer on the advertisement. If it is the health service, follow that pack and name the service. If it is the Department of Health, follow the VPS grade and the criteria. Interstate hospital experience needs the acuity translated. It does not need the city name swapped onto an old file.

Federation University's Ballarat campuses, including Mount Helen and SMB, recruit professional and academic staff. Professional applications show the students, the service or the system, and the result. Academic applications show teaching and research in the faculty's format. TAFE provision and higher education inside the university are not the same evidence. Neither form is a VPS criteria response.

Private employers include Haymes Paint, a Ballarat manufacturer, food and manufacturing plants, and Sovereign Hill as a visitor-economy employer. Keep the health résumé and the manufacturing résumé off the criteria document. Order the human-written pack against the advertisement you are actually answering. If two Ballarat employers want two formats, they are two documents.
