They said no selection criteria. The pitch still died.

Did they say no selection criteria, and you still wrote a fluffy two-page pitch?

Expression of interest. Cover-style statement. And it still died?

Did you treat it like a cover letter, and the panel still bounced?

That’s the pain

This happens a lot in public service jobs and government jobs. The ad says no selection criteria. Or they only want a short pitch, an expression of interest, a cover-style statement. You write it like a fluffy cover letter. It still dies.

A panel is not marking whether you sounded keen. They want the week you actually did, in a short file they can read.

A score will not fix it

A free ATS score will not write selection criteria. It will not turn a fluffy pitch into a statement a panel can mark.

If you want the score, use the free ATS score.

How we fix it

Send the ad and the pitch you have, even if it is two pages of fluff. We write the week you held. The pitch has to show the work, not how much you want the job.

That is human work. If you want a person on it, send it for a free résumé review. Pricing is there if you already know you need the writing done. The selection criteria page is that work.
